The EU’s current cooperation with IOM in the Middle East focuses on Iraq, Jordan and Yemen to support community stabilisation, migrant protection and assistance, data and migration management. In 2018, we launched a new programme to support reintegration and recovery assistance in Iraq and a regional migration and displacement data initiative.
As the region is facing protracted instability, IOM-EU shared cooperation priorities range from addressing forced displacement and development to supporting national and local capacities for policymaking and service delivery.
